Joan began her journey as a yoga
practitioner, teacher and healer in 1972. She is a Certified Professional
Integrative Yoga Therapist. She empowers individuals and groups to take control
of their bodies, minds and lives while improving their overall wellness. As a
Master Yoga Educator she uses many different yoga practices to inspire and
empower students to breathe better, move better and live fuller richer lives.
These practices include yoga therapeutics-(breathwork, mudras, yogapostures, affirmations, meditation and guided
imagery), Ayurveda and specialstress
She has logged over 4,000 hours
teaching yoga teachers and more than 11,500 hours teaching yoga, giving private
lessons and conducting workshops.
Joan is Program Director for a
200 hour Integrative Yoga Therapy teacher training program; a Yoga Alliance
registered program.She also is a long
time mentor with Integrative Yoga Therapy 1000 hour program and adjunct faculty
at Discovery Yoga.
As part of her ongoing mission
to make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, she
develops and teaches many special interest programs and lessons. She has become
well known for her therapeutic programs to address challenges such as: anxiety
disorders, arthritis, asthma, chronic back pain, sciatica, depression,
hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, Parkinson disease, pre & post
cancer and heart surgery and multiple sclerosis. She finds special joy in

She also offers Reiki Trainings
and Treatments as part of her Radiant Wellness practice.
She teaches workshops and
programs including “Therapeutic Yoga for Breast Cancer Survivors”, Stress
Management for Healthcare Professionals and “Happy Spine Yoga” for Radiant
Wellness at yoga centers, hospitals, businesses, schools, conferences and
She volunteers her time delivering educational workshops and lectures
at hospitals, hospice, cancer and other support groups.

Jim began his personal yoga practice in 1991. After completing the Integrative Yoga Therapy 200 hour program with Joseph andLillian LePage in Florida, he deepened his understanding of yoga therapeutics and his connection with Joseph and Lillian with advanced training and an eco-vacation in Brazil.
Jim began teaching therapeutic yoga in 2002. Some master teachers he has studied with; Rodney Yee, Doug Keller, Todd Norian & Anne Green and Liz Koch. Jim has designed and presented programs with special therapeutic focus on hips, shoulders and spine. Jim developed and taught special yoga programs for men.
He has special in depth training in the Eight Limbs of Yoga including the Yama’s and Niyama’s. His special calling, training and gifts are with Yoga Nidra, meditation and related modalities. Jim is a passionate, informative, enthusiastic teacher.
He is a Reiki Master and offers Reiki Level I, II and III (master) training and attunements.
Jim has studied and practiced hypnotism since high school. He is Program Director and lead educator for a Alpha University affiliated hypnotist training program. His hypnosistraining certifiesgraduatesformembership into National Guild of Hypnotists (100 hours) and International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapists Association (200 hours). He has studied with Gerald Kein, Don Motton, Roy Hunter and other master hypnotists. Jim has special hypnosis training in Pediatric hypnosis and to work with the terminally ill. Jim is a member of the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association and the National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc.
Jim conducts on-site yoga therapy and hypnosis programs at businesses, colleges not-for-profit organizations and schools.
Jim and his wife enjoy the outdoors hiking, birding, bicycling and participating in annual silent meditation retreats.
